This process of folk music is a true process of discovery. It's taking a breath, diving deep, and bringing up something to covet along the brambly path toward growth and healing. It could be an insight of the past or an abstract unveiling of the future. It's shaking free those leaves which are no longer bringing in rays of sun and moon. It's weaving life and death. It's coming up from the sea, taken to the heart, and saying hello.
In August 2017, Nicholas Moon made his debut, with an impromptu performance at Doe Bay Music Festival. Since his debut, he has been performing all over the Pacific Northwest at festivals, house shows, events, and traditional venues and has published a song for the town of Jawbone Flats. Nicholas shares lead in Wild Revival and Wooden Sleepers. He has sat in with performers such as Cascade Crescendo, Rory Van James, Heather Wolf, and Hale May; and has recorded with Aleida Gehrels (Macklemore), Kyle Keegan (Ben Howard), Carl LaRue (Alexandra Savior), Jacob Ransom (Y La Bamba), and Philip Kobernik.
